GARBE Renewable Energy Intensifies Expansion of Rooftop Photovoltaics Systems in Germany

Hamburg, 16th July 2024. GARBE Renewable Energy GREEN GmbH (“GREEN”), a subsidiary of GARBE Infrastructure GmbH (“GARBE Infrastructure”), is stepping up its efforts to expand the use of rooftop photovoltaics in Germany. To this end, Thomas Höft (aged 51), a photovoltaics experts, was appointed as new Head of Commercial PV. Höft has around 15 years of professional experience in the area of photovoltaics systems, and has worked in the energy market for about 20 years. His past positions include leading roles with MaxSolar, with the municipal utilities of the city of Barmstedt, with the solar module manufacturer solarnova and with Solar Direct.
Thomas Höft’s job will be to expand the business of rooftop PV plants in the retail real estate segment. At the moment, GREEN is examining a large portfolio of retail properties in regard to its potential eligibility for the installation of rooftop photovoltaics systems and tenant electricity offers.

With more than 70 MWp in PV output either being implemented or developed, GARBE Renewable Energy GREEN GmbH counts among the biggest developers of large-scale roof- or ground-mounted photovoltaics plants in Germany.
